I am born to work

It's been sometime since my last post. Now it's all back to work. I can never escape from work. It's work, work, work all the way. It's my destiny :P

To show you a glimpse of what I am working on, the flying arrows, the multi-boxes, argghhh...tell ya, I just love Telecommunications...

View from my window..the condominium on the right looks cool as the walls are made of glass. I can see a little girl running around in her house. This is one of the luxurious residence in Singapore.

Well, I just have to always think positive. It's good anyway. I earn my own money and I spend my own money. Life should be fun despite its toughness.

Now I am stuck in Singapore for 3 continuous hard weeks. At first it was planned for just a week but the project manager has asked me to stay for 2 more weeks. I only bring my supplies and money for one week though... luckily a colleague from the same office was also here and he managed to lend me some money to last me for 14 more days... else I would have to find ways to survive with $10 per day in Singapore.

Food in Singapore is very, very cheap - dollar-to-dollar in that sense - after all, do the employees in Singapore earn half of our Malaysian salary?? How can you find a dumpling noodle in KL at RM3 with 5 big fried dumpling with full ingredients inside? No, no not those dumpling with 90% skin and 10% meat. These are 100% complete fried dumplings with 10% skin and 90% meat!! In another words, hawker food in Singapore is really value for money. Kinda sad with the standards of economy in KL or rather Malaysia though, people had to "cut down" lots of things in order to survive. Here, with $10 I can survive 1 lunch, 1 dinner with 2 slices of big papaya and I still have $2 left!! Good enough to make me full and make sure I don't suffer from constipation hehehe...

In Cyberjaya, the cheapest lunch is around RM4-5, that is if I go for NO meat - just 2 thosai with some curry and vege. A meal at Oldtown Kopitiam is at least RM6 and above and the amount of ingredients we deserve and the taste both sucks.

The sad thing is that food prices will never come down. The only way is to match an affordable and living standard like in Singapore, our economy has to grow and our earning power must rise. I hope I'd be able to live to see this miracle happening in Malaysia. As for now, I just enjoy life and make sure I always keep a tight watch on my budget.

For the 3 weeks, besides being in the office, I just have to spend my days and weekends like this on the bed...all for just additional RMsssss.....

Time for my sushi dinner, 7 pieces altogether, 2 with salmon, 1 with prawn, with wasabi and soy sauce included (in KL I have to buy those extras at at least, RM1 per pack!) and not forgetting extra slices of pickled gingers (yeah... in KL, dream on..!) - tah pau from Tang's in the morning. $4.60.
