Hip-hopping!

Life has been busy as usual...indeed very busy. But I try to make time to enjoy myself and make myself happy despite the hectic schedule. I've been taking up hip hop dance class for the past 2 months and never looked back ever since. Instead I regretted for not starting one since I came to KL 6 years ago. I used to attend modern jazz class in Penang but it only lasted for about 2 months before I then came to KL to work. But still, it's never too late!

Dancing is indeed a very fun way to sweat and have fun. You can turn all the stress at work, all unhappy things in your mind into droplets of salty sweat which will evaporate later into the air hahaha... in another words, "disappear"! To me personally, it is much much more entertaining and exciting than going to the gym and working out at the machines where I would be staring at it or watching the tv. That's just plain boring to me. Dancing - with pumping music in the background, warm and friendly group of friends, jokes and laughter being shared and a nice instructor makes all the difference. I think it's the group of people that really mattered. I am especially grateful getting to know my hoppers kaki - they are the warmest, friendliest, down-to-earth group I'd ever wished knowing :))

On August 29, after 4-5 sessions of practising, we came out with this simple routine to perform in front of the SMASH crowd. Although the routine looked much simpler than the rest of the groups but we really enjoyed it. Here's a link in youtube and some of the photos taken:

I exist somewhere there hehe

You can also check out the performance from the rest of the groups here:

Posing again at the final end

Posing for group photo after encore and bravo to everyone!

2008 leaves me yet with another sweet memory to reminisce that I did HIP-HOPping in my life ;)
